George Short Appointed to UCLA School of Public Affairs Board of Advisors |
George Short, of counsel at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, was recently named to the Board of Advisors for the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Affairs. As a board member, Short will assist in guiding the vision and priorities of the School of Public Affairs. Additionally, he will aid in programmatic directions and act as an ambassador on the School’s behalf. Short will also be responsible for heading special task forces to enhance and strengthen the visibility of the School of Public Affairs and UCLA within their network of supporters.
The UCLA School of Public Affairs was established in 1994 to set a new direction for policy education, research and action. Incorporating two longstanding UCLA units with distinguished reputations -- the departments of Social Welfare and Urban Planning -- with the Department of Public Policy, the School's distinctive approach emphasizes solving problems across boundaries, particularly at the intersection where the public, private, and non-governmental sectors meet. |
