George Short Appointed to Direct Relief International Board of Directors

George Short, of counsel at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, was recently named to Direct Relief International’s (DRI) Board of Directors. As a board member, Short will chair the Audit Committee and serve as a member of the Executive Committee and the Communications Committee. Additionally, Short will be active in DRI’s Los Angeles Task Force, which aims to broaden the reach of the organization’s donor base and board involvement in the Los Angeles area.

Founded in 1948, Direct Relief International is a Santa Barbara, California–based nonprofit organization that improves the quality of life for people affected by poverty, disaster, and civil unrest by providing medical assistance and essential material resources, such as medicines, supplies and equipment, both domestically and internationally.
