Brian is an integral component of the firm's White Collar Criminal Defense and Investigations Group. His practice focuses on white collar defense and securities enforcement. Brian has extensive experience defending companies and individuals in government investigations, conducting internal investigations, as well as in complex civil litigation.

Brian serves as a member of the firm's Pro Bono Committee.

Prior to joining Brownstein, Brian was an associate at Latham & Watkins in Washington, DC.

• Representation of Mark Cuban relating to an insider trading complaint brought by the SEC 
• Represents public and private companies in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations 
• Counsels companies on FCPA compliance and conducts anti-corruption due diligence 
• Represented numerous individuals, public companies and private equity firms in DOJ, SEC and FINRA insider trading investigations 
• Advises companies on issues arising before the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) 
• Represented public company audit committee in an internal investigation of alleged securities and health care fraud 
• Represented Big Four accounting firms and partners in SEC and PCAOB investigations of audits 
• Represented tobacco company in Congressional investigation 
• Represented company in class action defense surrounding issues of price-fixing and related indemnity litigation
