Blane R. Prescott

Blane manages the overall business and strategy of the firm, while focusing on building the firm's practices and market position. He has more than 25 years of experience working with law firms to develop and implement management and growth strategies. He most recently served as a Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Hildebrandt Baker Robbins where he helped professional service firms around the world to develop strategy and tackle leadership and management issues, and assessed the effectiveness of business opportunities. He served as a memeber of Hildebrandt's Executive Committee, as well as serving as a founder of the Hildebrandt Institute.

Blane is experienced in setting partner compensation, designing and implementing practice expansion efforts, analyzing the economic performance of firms and individual practices, and coaching partners and other senior practice leaders. He has worked with law firms to assess and redesign practices and strategy, and assist in the refinement of law firm management approaches and governance. He is also experienced in assessing, structuring and negotiating law firm mergers, as well as assessing merger opportunities.

Blane has written more than 75 articles on law firm issues and has spoken extensively before law firms, industry trade groups, in-house legal departments and graduate school business programs.

Blane currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Denver Dumb Friends League, and is on the Advisory Board to Mi Casa.
