Dennis C. Gutwald

With 18 years of experience in the gaming law arena, Dennis' practice focuses on representing individuals and business entities before the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Nevada Gaming Commission, Clark County Commission, Las Vegas City Council, Mesquite City Council, North Las Vegas City Counsel, and Henderson City Council on gaming and liquor related issues. His practice also includes multi-jurisdictional applications covering jurisdictions throughout the world. 

Dennis' gaming clients include AGS, American Casino and Entertainment, Aria, Aristocrat, Barden Gaming, Bellagio, bwin.party digital entertainment plc, Caesars Entertainment, Cannery Casino Resorts, City Center, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Fifth Street Gaming, Herbst Gaming, Jerry’s Nugget, Landry’s Restaurants, Light Group, Lucky Club, Mandarin Oriental, MGM Resorts International, Miller’s Ale House, Penn National, Riviera, Santo Gaming, Silver Nugget, Station Casinos, Stratosphere, Tamares, Treasure Island, and William Hill, Wingstop, and WMS. In addition, he provides advice regarding gaming and liquor matters to institutional investors and investment companies including Apollo, Canyon Capital, Centerbridge, CIM Group, Colony Capital, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Fortress, Goldman Sachs, Leonard Green, Northern Trust Bank, Oaktree Capital, Quadrangle, Starwood and Texas Pacific Group.

Dennis has also supervised the preparation and review of gaming license applications for numerous jurisdictions around the world, represented institutional investors, and has assisted in the acquisition and sale of numerous properties and entities with gaming and/or liquor operations. In connection with those applications, Dennis has assisted and represented hundreds of high profile individuals with license applications. Most recently, he has supervised the preparation of some of Nevada's first internet gaming license applications.

Prior to joining the firm, Dennis served as a Nevada Gaming Control Board Investigative Agent.
