| Eric has more than 20 years of experience in complex civil litigation, primarily as defense counsel in matters that include commercial litigation issues, economic torts, intellectual property, employment and labor issues, complex/mass torts, products liability and other personal injury disputes.
Eric's extensive litigation experience has included cases and claims throughout the state of New Mexico, and he has been retained to oversee claims in Texas, Colorado, Arizona and California. He has handled cases from the simplest alternative dispute resolution procedures, American Arbitration Association claims and administrative hearings and trials to jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts. Eric also handles civil appeals in both state and federal courts, and is a member of the firm’s appellate group.
Throughout his career, Eric has worked with public utilities on matters which include antitrust claims, contract disputes, catastrophic injury/wrongful death claims, construction/delay claims, property damage, right-of-way and easement issues, boundary determinations and leasehold interests. He has successfully litigated cases involving employment practices and availability of employee benefits. His products liability experience involves claims regarding the design and manufacture of products ranging from motor vehicles and agricultural chemicals to pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
In the real estate realm, Eric has handled cases involving claims for misrepresentation of both residential and commercial properties, development of commercial property and other general real estate concerns. He is experienced in matters of insurance coverage, antitrust and other class-action suits, and healthcare. He has served as counsel for many high profile clients, including Qwest Corporation, Xcel/Southwest Public Service Company, Philip Morris USA, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sony Corporation, Public Service Company of New Mexico, Clear Channel Communications, National City Mortgage and Ardent Health.
Eric serves as a member of both the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and the Inclusiveness & Diversity Committee.
Prior to joining the firm, Eric was a shareholder and vice president with Keleher & McLeod in Albuquerque. |
