The holidays are a time when Brownstein’s community efforts reach far and wide. Here are just a few examples. Toys are collected and delivered to young patients at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.’s National Children’s Medical Center. We adopt families at Albuquerque’s Navajo Elementary School and spread holiday cheer at The Shade Tree, a Las Vegas shelter for homeless and abused women and children.
“Shopping for gifts that the families were really in need of brought us much joy and warmed our hearts,” said Frank Schreck, shareholder at Brownstein. “I’m so glad that our contributions will not only brighten their holidays but provide them with all of the necessities needed for a happy start to the New Year.” Beyond merely giving “things,” we give of our time; sharing stories, laughs and hope with people who give us so much more in return.
Food and toy drives, serving meals at shelters, hosting parties for kids, providing joy and sustenance for needy families is more than just a holiday tradition at Brownstein. Reaching out and giving back throughout the year is ingrained in the firm’s culture and formalized through our Community Relations department and its unique Karma Committees. Whether attorneys, policy consultants or legal staff, we all take part in some way to make our communities better places for all.
