Making a magical Halloween for the kids at Denver's Warren Village is the sweetest reward of all

Combining a love of candy corn with a profound commitment to giving back, 40 Brownstein attorneys and staff converged on Warren Village — a community for single parents working to improve their lives and those of their children — for a Halloween celebration that made sweet memories for everyone. Nearly 60 energized pre-school and school-age kids joined in the fun. And what fun it was, frosting and eating scary monster cupcakes and cookies, creating spiders of Tootsie Pops and pipe cleaners, reading stories, painting colorful pumpkins and more.

Laughter and squeals of delight were the order of the day, and made our time with the kids even more magical. Prior to the event, Brownstein employees collected new and gently used costumes to donate to the Warren Village kids to wear on Halloween.

The philosophy of giving back is woven into the fabric of Brownstein. It’s guided the firm as we have grown from a small law practice in 1968 to 12 offices and nearly 500 employees today. The firm’s unique Karma Committee plans events in each office to offer everyone a chance to experience the fulfillment of giving something back. We encourage our attorneys, policy consultants and legal staff to be as dedicated to making their communities a better place as they are to providing their best to clients. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Warren Village assists low-income, single parents move from public assistance to self-sufficiency through subsidized housing, on-site childcare, counseling, and education or job training. For more information about Warren Village Family Services, visit www.warrenvillage.org.
