In a historic upset and in defiance of traditional polling and pundits, Donald J. Trump has won the presidential race. Voting patterns this cycle were unpredictable and split-ticket voting was widespread. Despite this reality, each of Colorado’s congressional incumbents won their races.
All 65 seats in the Colorado House of Representatives were up for election, with eight open seats. Democrats further strengthened their majority in the House with the addition of three Democrat members, increasing their margin to 37-28.
