Brownstein Welcomes Health Care Litigator Erin McAlpin Eiselein

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Erin Eiselein has joined the firm’s Health Care Group as a shareholder in its Denver office. Erin’s practice includes litigation and counseling activities with an emphasis on health care regulatory law for a wide variety of clients including health care practitioners, community health organizations, medical device companies and leading national hospital systems.

“The health care sector is complex with a constantly evolving regulatory, technological and political landscape,” said Rich Benenson, co-chair of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Litigation Department. “Erin’s exceptional litigation experience and industry knowledge adds the final piece to the composition of Brownstein’s robust health care team, which includes established corporate, transactional, government relations and regulatory practices. Bringing Erin to Brownstein allows us to provide comprehensive counsel to our national, regional and emerging health care clients.”

Serving as a shareholder, Erin brings extensive complex commercial litigation experience representing clients in cases involving contract and tort law, defamation, antitrust, misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark infringement, insurance recovery, employment discrimination and First Amendment rights. Her practice extends internationally as well and she has represented foreign corporations in commercial matters pending in the U.S.

“I’m impressed with the quality and depth of the health care team that Brownstein has built,” Erin said. “Moving to Brownstein made sense because the firm provides me a platform that includes a team with the comprehensive industry knowledge that my clients need to achieve their strategic goals and thrive in this ever-changing legal and regulatory environment.”

Erin has deep experience in patient privacy matters, including state patient confidentiality laws and HIPAA, and has testified as an expert witness on these issues. She routinely assists clients on contractual and regulatory matters, ensuring that they do not run afoul of state and federal fraud and abuse laws and the myriad of other laws and regulations governing the health care industry.

Prior to joining the firm, Erin was a partner at Davis Graham & Stubbs. She earned her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa.
