Summer Program

Brownstein’s summer program provides law students with a chance to experience the “real” legal world and law firm life prior to the completion of school, as well as an in-depth view of life at our unique firm.

Brownstein has 12 offices nationwide and currently accept summer associates for structured programs in our Denver, Las Vegas and Santa Barbara offices.

Experiencing life at our firm will not only build skills you need for your future practice, ideally it will offer an opportunity to develop the skills and relationships necessary to establish a solid foundation for future success. Brownstein hires the majority of our first-year associates from our summer program. Current managing partner Adam Agron joined Brownstein through the summer program.

Summer associates at Brownstein work closely with our attorneys on real matters for our clients. Each summer associate is paired with a mentor who will help guide them through the program and facilitate their introduction to the firm. Brownstein offers education and training sessions each week during the program covering topics such as “The Billable Hour,” “Law Firm Survival Skills” and introductions to major practice areas within the firm. The summer associates will have the opportunity to work with attorneys at all levels to learn about their individual practices and careers, and are also offered the opportunity to do pro bono work.

The firm sponsors both networking and social engagements throughout the summer, which have included outings to Rockies games, kayaking adventures, cooking classes and the Denver Zoo’s annual fundraising dinner, Do At The Zoo.
