Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that David Reid, a policy advisor in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, has been elected to serve as the Eastern Caucus chair of the LGBTQ Victory Fund Campaign Board. David has been involved with the Victory Fund for over a year and was recently recognized as the board’s top bundler in 2018.
The Victory Fund Campaign Board is a national group of community leaders who are actively engaged in helping to elect more openly LGBTQ voices to public office. Elected by their peers to renewable two-year terms, board members promote the work of LGBTQ Victory Fund, help recruit qualified openly LGBTQ candidates to run for office, endorse Victory Fund’s candidates and provide the financial resources to help them win.
In his role as chair of the Eastern Caucus, David will be responsible for leading the members in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, ensuring their success in reaching their goals, maintaining participation in key events and programming, increasing caucus diversity and building the board.
“I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of this incredibly important organization and cannot think of a better place to focus my energy,” said David. “The Victory Fund has been at the forefront of the fight for LGBTQ equality for nearly 30 years. It’s an honor to be a part of the amazing work they do, cycle after cycle.”
