Brownstein Team Assists Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado

September 19, 2017

A team from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office volunteered its time with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC). The team harvested nearly 1,500 willow stakes that will be replanted in November as part of continued flood relief efforts in Lyons, Colorado.

VOC is a statewide nonprofit volunteer program designed to motivate and enable hands-on work in fire and flood restoration, trail building and maintenance, tree planting and re-forestation, among other outdoor opportunities that help safeguard Colorado’s natural resources. VOC works with conservation and land agencies and relies on thousands of people annually to provide a volunteer workforce for outdoor stewardship projects. Sean Bahoshy, a shareholder in Brownstein's Real Estate Department, serves on VOC's board.

Hands-on volunteerism is a key piece of Brownstein's core value of Giving Back. Throughout the year, the firm offers Karma Projects, designed to give our employees, clients, family and friends an opportunity to give back to the communities where we live and work through volunteer service.
