Brownstein Volunteers Pack Emergency Medical Backpacks for Direct Relief

June 13, 2019

A group of Brownstein employees and family members from the firm's Santa Barbara and Sacramento offices packed 120 emergency medical backpacks for Direct Relief on June 6. The emergency packs enable healthcare providers to respond when disaster strikes and were developed by Direct Relief in collaboration with the California Emergency Medical Services Authority and with input from experienced emergency responders.

Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organization whose mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies without regard to politics, religion or ability to pay. Active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, its programs are tailored to the needs of the world’s most vulnerable and at-risk populations.

Throughout the year, our employees participate in Karma Projects, designed to give our employees, clients, family and friends an opportunity to give back to the communities where we work and live.
