Brownstein Volunteers Support Special Olympics Colorado’s Regional Bowling Tournament

October 14, 2017

A team from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office supported and encouraged Special Olympics Colorado athletes who competed in a regional bowling tournament on Oct. 14. As part of the firm’s Karma Program, volunteers helped manage the bowling lanes and scoring, cheered on the participants, and presented ribbons and awards accompanied by the Olympic anthem.

In addition to providing on-site support during the tournament, many Brownstein employees made signs in advance of the event to help cheer on the athletes.

This event demonstrates Brownstein’s core value of giving back by helping the communities where its employees live and work.

Evan Rothstein, shareholder and chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, serves on the board of Special Olympics Colorado. The mission of Special Olympics Colorado is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
