HEALTH CARE POLICY OUTLOOK FOR 2016

Client Alert

Brownstein Client Alert, February 2, 2016

In 2016, the Affordable Care Act will continue to be a contentious issue involving opposing legislative efforts and presidential debates. It has already been a major talking point in the campaigns of multiple 2016 presidential candidates. Similarly, on Capitol Hill, efforts continue on opposite sides of the aisle to defend or repeal all or parts of this legislation.

However, clients and industries affected by health care regulations can expect the emphasis of this debate to shift this year to new frontiers like prescription drug costs, FDA reform, and coverage of chronic conditions.

Brownstein’s bipartisan team of veteran Republican and Democratic strategists, lobbyists and lawyers have been involved in some of the biggest health care-related public policy legislation in the last few years.
