June 22, 2022

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck was honored at the Denver Business Journal’s inaugural Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards, highlighting the firm’s commitment to bolstering equality.

“Increasing diversity does not happen overnight. It takes an incremental and insistent approach,” Managing Partner Rich Benenson said. “We have a remarkable team at Brownstein that is not only dedicated to increasing the diversity of our workforce at the firm, but also in the legal industry as a whole. I’m proud of the work of the important work we’re doing. Thank you to the Denver Business Journal for this incredible honor.”

The Denver Business Journal launched a new event this year to honor businesses in the Denver metro area that go above and beyond to foster equality and diversity, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race ethnicity and religion. Among other accomplishments, Brownstein was recognized for its initiatives focused on retention and career development for attorneys and staff, including its D&I Billable Hours Credit program providing attorneys and policy professionals 50 hours of billable credit for DEI leadership efforts.

Nominees were evaluated by a panel of DEI experts based on their achievement in the diversity and inclusion, impact in the community, the reason they were nominated and what sets them apart from their peers. Winners were honored at an awards reception on June 16.
