Brownstein Recognized with 2025 Pro Bono Service Award from Legal Services Corporation

October 22, 2025

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is honored to announce that it has received a 2025 Pro Bono Service Award from Legal Services Corporation (LSC), recognizing the Denver office’s commitment to expanding access to justice for Coloradans. LSC is the nation’s largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income Americans and has supported Colorado Legal Services (CLS) for decades as its grantee partner in the state.

Brownstein was nominated by Matt Baca, executive director of CLS, along with his colleagues, in recognition of the firm’s more than a decade of consistent pro bono leadership and partnership through the Call4All Clinic. Through this call-in clinic, Brownstein attorneys have helped rural, senior and low-income Coloradans across 39 counties access free, one-on-one legal advice. Volunteer attorneys assist with civil legal questions, court form  and explanations of law and procedure in areas such as family law, landlord/tenant issues, protection orders, consumer collections, probate and small claims.

CLS staff also praised the firm’s government relations support, which has helped strengthen civil legal services statewide.

Brownstein was recognized at the Champions of Justice event, held in partnership with CLS and the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado, on Oct. 20.
