Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that J. Tenley Oldak has joined the firm as an associate in the corporate and business group. Her practice will focus on corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and federal, state and local taxation.
Prior to joining Brownstein, Oldak was an associate at Sullivan & Worcester LLP in Boston. Representing public companies, she has garnered REIT experience in public and private debt and equity offerings. Oldak has also drafted transactional documents for acquisitions and provided tax-structuring advice. Further, she has represented taxpayers on a range of issues, including effectively connected income, intangible holding companies, economic substance doctrine, reasonable compensation, domiciliary status and corporate nexus. In 2010, Massachusetts Super Lawyers named Oldak a Rising Star.
Oldak received her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, her law degree from Boston College Law School and her Master of Laws in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.
