Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce Gina Tincher, an associate in its commercial litigation practice, recently joined the board of Rise Above Colorado, a drug abuse prevention organization, as a director. Tincher’s term on the board will be confirmed at the organization’s May 20 board meeting.
Tincher’s legal practice focuses on commercial litigation. In her position as a board member, Tincher will draw on her background in law enforcement to help Rise Above Colorado in its mission to empower teens to lead a life free of drug abuse. She will provide leadership to the group, identify and evaluate prospects, actively support fundraising programs and advocate on behalf of the organization’s priorities.
“Teen drug abuse is a growing problem in Colorado that needs critical attention,” said Tincher. “My background in law enforcement and narcotics investigations and my current work in litigation matters gives me the unique insights to address the drug abuse issues facing our community, particularly the children and teens who are the most vulnerable and at-risk groups for devastating exposure to illegal drugs.”
Rise Above Colorado utilizes best practices for public awareness and community outreach, shaping teens’ attitudes and perceptions about drugs through proactive education programs, with an ultimate goal of reducing usage patterns. To learn more, please visit: http://www.riseaboveco.org.
