Nevada PEP (Nevada Parents Encouraging Parents) recognized Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Las Vegas office with their Hand in Hand Appreciation Award this month, a recognition of the firm’s ongoing community relationship with this local nonprofit. This award recognizes Brownstein’s “continued support and dedication to Nevada PEP and the many children and families in our community.”
Nevada PEP provides information, services and training to families of children with disabilities, with a goal of helping to increase opportunities for success for these young people. Brownstein Shareholder Bryce Loveland serves as chairperson of Nevada PEP’s board of directors.
“As a parent of a child with special needs, it means a lot to me to be part of a firm that has supported and continues to support Nevada PEP in so many ways,” said Loveland.
The Las Vegas office has participated in several community volunteer projects with Nevada PEP and for the last five years has sponsored PEP’s Run Walk Roll Against Bullying program. In September, a group from Brownstein’s Las Vegas office participated in Nevada PEP’s Run, Walk and Roll Against Bullying, a 5K run and 1.5K Fun Walk and Roll, along with the office’s adopted school Halle Hewetson Elementary. The firm’s employment group, headed by Brownstein Shareholder Bill Berger, also has provided pro bono legal support to Nevada PEP.
