Richard Benenson, a shareholder and co-chair of the Litigation Department at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, was elected to the board of the Colorado Judicial Institute (CJI). As a board member, Benenson will help guide the organization’s overarching mission and contribute financially to CJI’s mission. The length of his term on the board is three years.
Benenson’s involvement with CJI draws on his experience as a litigator, defending companies in complex litigation, antitrust, consumer protection, business torts and class action matters. His involvement in education and the Colorado community also includes membership on the board of the Global Livingston Institute and the Governor’s Limited Gaming Commission.
A 501(c)3 organization founded in 1979, CJI’s mission is to preserve and enhance the fairness, impartiality and excellence of Colorado's courts, to further public understanding of the Colorado judicial system, and to ensure that the courts meet the needs of the people.
