Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Shareholder Mark Mathews has received the American Red Cross Volunteer Leadership Award for his work with the organization.
The award lauds a Red Cross volunteer who has sustained superior and outstanding leadership service at the local or beyond-the-unit level with or on behalf of the American Red Cross. Recipients have sustained superior leadership, which includes the acceptance of and superior performance in meeting increasingly challenging responsibilities, and demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the American Red Cross in their job performance.
Mark served as Heroes Soiree co-chair in 2017, giving an incredible amount of time and effort to assemble the elements of the event, which ranks as one of the top 10 fundraising events by gross revenue for the Red Cross nationwide. He has facilitated introductions that have generated more than $1 million in asks for support from key community leaders, influencers and philanthropists.
“Mark’s work with the American Red Cross demonstrates not only his dedication to the organization, but his desire to weave the mission of the Red Cross into his daily life,” American Red Cross Executive Director Gino Greco said. “He constantly looks for connections and opportunities to support the vital services the organization provides the community.”
This recognition of Mark’s commitment to the American Red Cross exemplifies Brownstein’s core value of giving back by helping the communities where its employees live and work.
Mark was honored along with Alice Jackson, vice president of strategic revenue initiatives for Xcel Energy.
