Brownstein Names Margaux Trammell Director of Professional Development

March 01, 2021

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Margaux Trammell has been named as the firm’s director of professional development. Trammell, who joined the firm 15 years ago, brings almost two decades of experience as a practicing attorney to her new position and previously was a shareholder in Brownstein’s Corporate & Business Department and chair of the firm’s Professional Development Committee.

In her new role and as a member of the firm’s Business Leadership Team, Trammell supports the firm’s strategic objectives to develop and retain legal and government relations talent by continuously enhancing professional skills and abilities at all levels. She oversees all firmwide talent initiatives, including training and development, performance evaluations and management, attorney and policy professional integration, internal advancement, mentoring and career planning. Trammell also ensures that all professional development programs align with Brownstein’s core values, and she supports the firm’s diversity, inclusion and equity goals.

“We are thrilled that Margaux has officially taken on this new role within the firm,” said Rich Benenson, Brownstein’s managing partner. “Since stepping into the interim role almost one year ago, Margaux has been instrumental in managing and enhancing several of our existing processes as well as formalizing and creating innovative new programs that align with our strategic goals. All of her contributions illustrate her commitment to the firm’s values and why she will excel in her new role.”

“I’m excited for this new opportunity and believe that my background as a Brownstein attorney, prior experience as Professional Development Committee chair and relationships within the firm help me understand how to best support our attorneys and policy professionals with their growth and development objectives,” Trammell said.

Trammell serves as an active member of Brownstein’s Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Equity and Pro Bono Committee and leads the Audit Letter Committee, where she supervises the audit letter response process. She also serves as a liaison to the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and Associates Committee.

Trammell earned her Licence de Droit Suisse from the University of Lausanne College of Law and her LL.M. and J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
