Anna Smith brings more than two decades of experience in human resources management, encompassing small and large for-profit and non-profit organizations. Her responsibilities have included streamlining existent HR processes and crafting and implementing compliant HR policies and procedures to keep up with the ever-changing regulatory landscape. She has built HR departments and teams from the ground up and overseen entire HR functions. She has a deep knowledge base in legal compliance, compensation and benefits, performance management, records management, employment and benefits issues in acquisitions and mergers, mediation, conflict resolution and policy drafting and implementation, among other areas.
In her role as a non-lawyer HR professional, Anna supports the firm’s employment, employee benefits, executive compensation, tax and corporate attorneys in a variety of areas. These include due diligence in corporate transactions, implementing reductions in force, tailoring employment agreements and other employee documents, drafting and updating policies and benefits-related documents, analyzing and researching employment issues and advising on practical solutions to issues. Anna has held HR leadership positions in multi-state organizations, and most recently was the human resources business partner of a multinational organization in the financial services industry.
