Patrick Berry’s corporate practice is informed by his experience representing companies spanning myriad sizes and industries in complex transactions, from manufacturing and technology to health care and hospitality. He also has experience advising socially responsible businesses, including benefit corporations and certified “B Corps”.
Before joining Brownstein, Patrick worked as a corporate associate at a Madison, Wisconsin-based law firm, gaining experience representing clients on a wide range of corporate matters, including formation, regulatory and licensing matters, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. While there, notable representations included representing a health food company in a complicated three-party merger, representing a medical device manufacturer in the sale of its assets, representing shareholders in a contentious stock redemption and advising a Fortune 500 company with respect to its hiring policies and diversity initiatives.
While in law school, Patrick worked as an extern in the Wisconsin Department of Justice and an intern at Advocacy and Benefits Counseling for Health, a non-profit law firm focused on linking children and families, particularly those with special needs, to health care benefits and services. He also earned the Daniel H. Grady Award for graduating first in his law school class.
