Finger, Craig M. - Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck

A wealth of experience with the higher education system allows Craig Finger to bring an advanced level of leadership and insight to his commercial litigation work.

Craig focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation across various practice areas, including employment, class actions, securities, general contracts, consumer protection, administrative law, and government affairs.

Prior to his work at the firm, Craig worked in international affairs for the Department of Defense Office of the General Counsel. He was involved in a wide variety of high-level legal matters in the areas of international law, national security and inter-agency relations.

He also worked with a Denver law firm, primarily as part of a college’s in-house counsel team.  There, he was involved in all aspects of the client’s needs, including internal compliance, student and employee dispute resolution, analysis of legislation impacting the industry, and on-going litigation involving wage disputes and consumer fraud.

Representative Matters
  • Successfully defeated numerous claims of discrimination, retaliation, and other torts through a four-day jury trial in federal court. Former Director of Human Resources for a professional services agency alleged claims of discrimination and retaliation and Title VII and the Equal Pay Act. Jury returned a verdict finding no discrimination or retaliation, and only awarded a token amount of damages in connection with a limited subset of the plaintiff’s defamation claims.
