Thirty years navigating state government in Colorado. Actively involved in shaping public policy. Brings a legal and business perspective to government relations challenges.
Few can rival Mike Feeley’s breadth of experience in law, public policy and state government relations. Whether representing a client in federal court or advising on the best approach to working with government decision makers, Mike is committed to helping his clients achieve optimal outcomes. A former Colorado senator who served as senate minority leader for seven of his eight years in office, he uses this first-hand experience to solve important issues. Mike represents clients—FedEx, InnovAge, Pinnacol Assurance, Colorado State University, Empower Retirement and Fidelity Investments to name a few—before Colorado legislative and executive branches. Previously serving as co-chair of Brownstein’s Government Relations Department, Mike works hand-in-hand with the firm’s Washington, D.C., office when his clients need a federal approach.
Maintaining an active legal practice as a litigation and tax attorney in addition to his government relations work allows Mike to offer a comprehensive perspective to his client’s challenges. Mike’s practice at the nexus of law, state government and business means he has the ability to shepherd solutions that can have a huge impact on his clients’ business objectives.
Mike’s passion for public policy extends beyond his professional commitments. He remains active in the public policy arena serving in a variety of appointed state positions under Democratic and Republican administrations since his time as a Colorado senator.
