Christine Jochim’s practice concentrates on environmental and natural resource compliance, federal policy, litigation and government enforcement. She represents developers, investors, manufacturers, industrial operations, municipalities, districts, associations and individuals in matters involving a wide range of environmental laws and regulations, such as the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Safe Drinking Water Act, Atomic Energy Act (AEA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and state equivalents. Christine also advises clients in the purchase and sale of contaminated sites, navigating water quality permitting issues and rulemaking proceedings, and developing workable solutions to pressing environmental issues, such as emerging contaminants.   

Christine has also prepared public comments for clients on a variety of proposed domestic and international legislative matters for submission to agencies as part of the rulemaking process.

Prior to joining the firm, Christine was an attorney at K&L Gates LLP, in their Washington, D.C., office, and an attorney with the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, Maryland.

Christine graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law with a Certificate of Concentration in Environmental Law. Concurrent with her legal studies, Christine obtained a Master of Public Health, with a concentration in environmental and occupational health, from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Prior to law school, Christine worked as a legal assistant for the health care practice group of Sidley Austin in Washington, DC, and as an intern to Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-CO). Christine earned her undergraduate degree from Hamilton College, with a concentration in government and a minor in environmental studies.
