With a background in electrical engineering and in-house experience, Darlene Kondo adds strategic value for clients moving through the patent prosecution cycle. She brings extensive experience in patent portfolio development and management, domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution, standards-related patents, patent infringement and validity analysis, product design counseling, strategic patent acquisitions and IP due diligence.
Darlene has a deep understanding of the needs of large, sophisticated technology clients with complex portfolios as well as building patent portfolios for start-up companies. She is well-versed across a variety of technologies, including electrical, software, complex optical devices and systems, wireless technologies, data storage devices and systems, stereoscopic and autostereoscopic systems and semiconductor lasers, among others.
Prior to joining Brownstein, Darlene was Of Counsel in a large IP firm in Denver, senior intellectual property and corporate counsel for Seagate Technology and director of intellectual property at RealD, a visual technology firm in Boulder.
