Jay, Jeffrey A.

Jeff Jay brings solid understanding of state and federal regulations combined with litigation experience to his natural resources practice.

Prior to joining Brownstein, Jeff worked as an associate at an international law firm, where he developed experience helping clients craft investigation responses to state and federal environmental enforcement actions as well as navigate regulatory issues surrounding a range of environmental and energy statutes with a focus on the regulation of interstate pipelines. He also has broad litigation experience, having represented energy clients in a variety of sectors, including oil and gas production as well as construction disputes, before federal and state trial and appellate courts.

Jeff also served as an intern in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Office of Enforcement and served as a law clerk for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Civil Enforcement Special Litigation and Projects Division.
