Ron Merrill brings a broad range of real estate experience to his work as a consulting attorney in Brownstein’s real estate department.
Following a highly successful 24-year career with Brownstein’s real estate practice, Ron located to Salt Lake City, Utah to serve as general counsel and executive vice president with a former client, where he honed his hands-on industry experience for the last decade. While with Brownstein, Ron represented clients in almost all aspects of a real estate practice, including lending, sale-leaseback transactions, resort development, home building, land development and other commercial and residential transactions. As a result, Ron is skilled in both real estate deals and corporate deals and has experience with sale leaseback transactions that blend both worlds.
His breadth of experience both within Brownstein and as in-house counsel makes Ron the go-to attorney for almost any real estate related project, including ground lease analysis, REA analysis, loan transactions (for either borrowers or lenders) and purchase and sale transactions.
