Warren, Mackenzie

Anchor and Reporter, NBC Las Vegas

Mackenzie Warren’s creativity and hustle paired with her journalistic experience and passion for local and state government helps her develop strong relationships and solutions for her clients. Mackenzie’s background as a television news anchor and reporter covering every corner of Nevada, combined with her experience as a litigator at Brownstein, have helped her grow into her government affairs practice.

As a native to Nevada, Mackenzie understands the policy needs of the state and stewards practical solutions to an array of corporate clients and non-profits. Mackenzie has litigated before the Nevada Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada and the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County Nevada – Civil and Family Division. Mackenzie is also part of Brownstein’s robust land use team, often working on legal issues related to property development up and down the Las Vegas Strip and beyond.

Mackenzie is a proud alumna of the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV where she served as Notes Editor of the Nevada Law Journal and was an active member of the Boyd School of Law Society of Advocates (Moot Court Team). Mackenzie was also nominated by her law school peers to give a commencement speech alongside former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Mackenzie held clerkships with the Clark County Public Defender’s Office and Justice Elissa F. Cadish of the Nevada Supreme Court.

Before joining Brownstein, she was a two-time Emmy nominated television news anchor and reporter for the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas and Reno. She served as the station’s investigative reporter and Capitol Correspondent covering the Nevada Legislature. Building on her previous career as a journalist, Mackenzie brings her curiosity and passion for building strong relationships to the Las Vegas office.
