Gutierrez, Araceli

With extensive legislative experience, Araceli Gutierrez brings significant policy and public health expertise to her government relations work at Brownstein. She spent time working in state and federal government before transitioning into the private sector. Araceli is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Before joining Brownstein, Araceli worked as a director at the Podesta Group, providing clients with guidance on strategic development, deep research dives and analysis and in proposing creative solutions to navigate complex legislative and regulatory goals. Prior to that, she served as a graduate health fellow with Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA) where she drafted legislation and staffed the congresswoman on the House Appropriations Labor, Health and Human Services and the Energy and Water Development Subcommittees.

Before her work on Capitol Hill, Araceli conducted research, developed and led a community health assessment survey and secured grants as a public policy fellow for the Joint Committee on Public Health in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Previously, Araceli worked with an international public health research and consulting firm, one of the largest community foundations in the country, and the Marin Department of Health and Human Services in the Division of Public Health in California.
