Kristina Baum’s skills in strategizing targeted public affairs campaigns deliver results for her clients. With over 15 years of experience, she leverages her expertise in digital campaigns, earned media outreach and paid media to capture the attention of key stakeholders.
Most recently, Kristina worked in the private sector, advising clients on strategic communications and public affairs for highly respected public affairs firms, including a handful of FARA clients, and trade associations. She guided policy campaigns and media relations to achieve goals at all levels of government while managing client reputation, even in crisis situations.
Kristina previously served as communications director for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy for the Trump administration, acting as the chief spokesperson on over 90 policy streams, including the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She also spent time on Capitol Hill, working in senior communications positions for the U.S. House Committees on Natural Resources and Space, Science, and Technology and the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. In these roles, she developed media plans and crafted messaging to facilitate the passage of legislation on transportation, energy, environment, science and technology, space and national security.
Kristina is a regular contributor to national media on cancer research and is also a fundraiser for multiple nonprofits and advocacy groups supporting melanoma patients and survivors. She has advocated before the FDA on clinical trial design and medical countermeasures to brain metastases.
