Sean Callahan integrates communications and advocacy strategies to impact policy outcomes on issues related to national security, foreign affairs, labor, land development and transportation. He served as senior staff for Democratic members of both the House and Senate Armed Services committees. Sean provides insight into legislative and regulatory processes, such as the drafting of the National Defense Authorization Act, to advocate for his clients with the precise outreach and procedural aptitude required for success.  

Sean served as deputy chief of staff to Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI), a member of the Armed Services, Select Intelligence, Veterans Affairs, Small Business, and Energy and Natural Resources committees. He coordinated national security and foreign affairs efforts, and led congressional delegations to strategic locations domestic and abroad. Prior, Sean served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director to Rep. Mark Takai (D-HI), a member of the Armed Services and Small Business committees. Sean led the office’s appropriations program and assisted state and local agencies in obtaining federal funding, developing best practices that he now leverages for clients. He started on Capitol Hill as a senior policy advisor and military legislative assistant to Rep. Colleen Hanabusa (D-HI).
