Brownstein’s Adam Agron and Mark Mathews Recognized as Denver Business Journal’s 2015 Power Book Finalists

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck shareholders Adam Agron and Mark Mathews are finalists in the law category of the Denver Business Journal’s 2015 Power Book. The Power Book awards recognize some of the top business newsmakers of the last year in 14 industry categories. The 10 finalists in each category are men and women influential in the Denver business sector who are “making things happen in their company and in the community.”

Agron is the firm’s co-managing partner and a corporate attorney who represents private and public companies, private equity firms and entrepreneurs in a diverse set of transformative transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, leveraged and management buy-out transactions, recapitalizations, minority investments and joint ventures. Agron has been recognized in Chambers USA every year since 2010, in Colorado Super Lawyers since 2012, and teaches law at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.

Mathews is a shareholder who practices in the mining, land use, environmental, water and oil and gas industries. He successfully litigates cases concerning water rights, oil and gas regulations, zoning, and preemption issues or negotiated favorable settlements for energy and renewable energy companies, mining companies, utilities and counties throughout the western region. He also serves as outside counsel for the Colorado Oil and Gas Association, which has successfully challenged ordinances banning or imposing a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing in Longmont, Fort Collins and Lafayette, Colorado. Mark has been recognized in Chambers USA every year since 2010, Colorado Super Lawyers since 2012, Best Lawyers in America since 2014 and as a Top Lawyer in Natural Resources this year by 5280 Magazine.
