The transition of power from Mayor Michael Hancock to Mayor-elect Mike Johnston is both an exciting time as well as a critical moment for Denver. It not only signifies a transfer of leadership, but a transfer of vision and responsibility that could set the course not just for the next four years, but perhaps the next eight.
Johnston has 40 short days to plan his inauguration and assemble a top-notch team that will oversee more than 11,000 employees before he is sworn in on July 17.
