Lauren Diekman Joins Brownstein’s Government Relations Practice

April 26, 2022

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck welcomes Lauren Diekman to its Washington, D.C., office as a senior policy advisor. Diekman provides strategic international policy counsel for companies across the infrastructure and energy sectors.

“As business priorities continue to intersect with global politics, Lauren’s cross-border business experience makes her a great addition to our International Business and Foreign Affairs team,” said Marc Lampkin, Brownstein’s Government Relations Department chair.

Diekman’s foreign affairs practice draws on strong relationships with U.S. government, foreign business and domestic private industry leaders, allowing her to serve as a key advisor for those looking to overcome the complicated barriers to entry in South and Central Asia and, specifically, India.

She served as senior director for the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where she aided companies in understanding the cultural, economic and political differences necessary to increase bilateral investment in energy and infrastructure, and to achieve climate and sustainability goals. She also taps into her time at the Department of Energy and multiple posts at the Department of State to ensure that clients are able to successfully navigate both national and international challenges.

Diekman received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and her master of public policy from American University.
