Lawyers of Color (LoC), a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities, has recognized Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck with its 2023 Aspire Diversity Award.
Brownstein’s diversity recognition was highlighted in LoC’s Diversity Issue 2023, which was published on Feb. 20. Brownstein is committed to bringing together different backgrounds and perspectives to create a stronger team and promote a dynamic, fulfilling working experience. In addition to its recognition from LoC, Brownstein has recently been recognized for a variety of diversity efforts, including achieving Mansfield Certification in 2022 for the fifth consecutive year, receiving a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index in 2022 for the third consecutive year, ranking fourth on Law 360’s 2022 Ceiling Smashers list for firms (251‒600 attorneys) with the highest representation of women in their equity partnerships and being named as one of Seramount’s 2022 “Best Law Firms for Women.”
LoC celebrates attorneys of color and conducts research and studies regarding the intersection of the legal profession and social justice. The organization has been recognized by the American Bar Association, National Black Law Students Association and National Association of Black Journalists.
