Scott Scherer Appointed to Nevada Commission on Ethics by Gov. Joe Lombardo

Scott Scherer, a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Gaming group, was recently appointed to the Nevada Commission on Ethics by Gov. Joe Lombardo.

“I’m pleased to announce my appointment of Scott Scherer to the Nevada Commission on Ethics,” said Gov. Lombardo in a press release announcing the appointment. “Scott brings decades of legal, regulatory and government experience to this role, and I’m grateful for his willingness to again serve our state on this commission.”

Scherer uses a unique mix of regulatory, business, policy and legal perspectives to help clients implement new technologies and systems in the gaming industry, including for payments, sports betting and online gaming. Involved in the evolution of the gaming industry on both a national and international level for the last three decades, Scherer applies his deep historical understanding of both the business and regulatory issues to help his clients get their new technologies to market. His understanding of national and international business as well as regulatory and compliance matters comes from significant roles in the gaming industry, including formerly serving as a member of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
