Mackenzie Warren Kay Returns to Brownstein

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck welcomes Mackenzie Warren Kay to the firm as senior policy advisor and counsel in our Las Vegas office. Warren Kay will join the Nevada State Government Relations team.

As a native Nevadan, she understands the state’s evolving policy needs and has strong relationships with elected officials that allow her to connect with key decisionmakers and build valuable connections for our clients,” said Doug Friednash, chair of Brownstein’s State Government Relations team. 

Through her close relationships with elected officials and staff at every level of state and local government, Warren Kay connects with key decisionmakers to drive productive conversations, ultimately reaching sound policy resolutions. At the core of Warren Kay’s government affairs practice is her reputation for integrity and professionalism. Her journalistic experience gives Warren Kay a unique perspective as both an attorney and lobbyist. She began her career as a two-time Emmy-nominated television news anchor and reporter for the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas and Reno, where she covered every corner of the state. Warren Kay served as the station’s investigative reporter and Capitol correspondent covering the Nevada Legislature in the 2011 and 2013 sessions. Her legal career began in litigation before evolving into her current government affairs practice. 

Warren Kay received her bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University and law degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law.
