Daniel Joseph Recognized by National Bar Association as a 2024 40 Under 40 Honoree

July 17, 2024

Daniel Joseph, a policy advisor and associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Government Relations Department, was recognized by the National Bar Association as one of its “40 Under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates” award recipients. The awards recognize the nation’s top 40 lawyers under the age of 40 who exemplify a broad range of high achievement in the legal field, including in advocacy, innovation, vision, leadership and overall legal and community involvement.

Joseph combines his legal background and rich understanding of U.S. tax policy to analyze complex legal, regulatory and legislative tax issues. His relationships with policymakers on the House Ways and Means Committee and Senate Finance Committee and with officials at the Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) are used to execute strategies. He assists multinational corporations, small businesses, coalitions and non-profit organizations with their tax needs. In addition to his tax portfolio, Joseph assists clients on agriculture, energy, trade, financial services, transportation and real estate issues.

In his spare time, he plays an active role in the community and is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion and supporting under-privileged communities. Joseph serves as treasurer for the Washington Bar Association, chairs the Audit Committee for the Florida Atlantic University Foundation and is an active board member for Community Tax Aid.

The National Bar Association is the nation’s oldest and largest global network of predominantly Black American attorneys and judges. It represents the interests of approximately 67,000 lawyers, judges, law professors and law students.

Joseph was honored at the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 Awards Gala in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 13.
