Matthew Nilsen Joins Board of Directors of Rocky Mountain Arts Association

March 26, 2024

Matthew Nilsen, an associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Real Estate Department, has joined the board of directors of the Rocky Mountain Arts Association (RMAA). Founded in 1982 and comprised of The Denver Gay Men’s Chorus and The Denver Women’s Chorus, RMAA’s mission is to build community through music.

As part of his initial three-year term, Nilsen will support RMAA’s mission, attend board meetings and events, provide organizational oversight, help guide strategy and assist with fundraising and community outreach.

As an active patron and supporter of the arts and LGBTQ+ causes, Nilsen looks forward to contributing to an organization that advances both causes.

“As a member of Brownstein’s Pride employee resource group and the Colorado LGBTQ+ Bar Association, I am proud to support Colorado’s oldest and largest LGBTQ+ arts organization,” he said. “Recognized as one of Colorado’s premier performing arts organizations, RMAA is dedicated to musical excellence, social justice and empowering audiences to create and nurture safe, supportive and inclusive communities.”
