Aaron Hyatt Receives 2019 Yana Vishnitsky Leadership Award from Jewish Family Service
Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Aaron Hyatt, chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, was honored by Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) at its Faces of JFS 2019 Winter Soirée. Hyatt received the Yana Vishnitsky Leadership Award in recognition of his exemplary leadership, philanthropy and dedication to JFS and to the community.
JFS is a nonsectarian, nonprofit human services agency that provides vital services to vulnerable individuals and families throughout the greater Denver community. The Yana Vishnitsky Leadership Award was established in 2016 to honor the organization’s former president and CEO upon her retirement.
“JFS was proud to bestow the Yana Vishnitsky Leadership Award to Aaron Hyatt at the Faces of JFS 2019 Winter Soirée on Dec. 5, said Linda Foster, president and CEO of JFS. “Aaron embodies Yana’s commitment to public service and to those in need in our community. The Jewish values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), mitzvot (good deeds) and tzedakah (charitable giving) were instilled in Aaron at an early age. He lives those values every day and they are exemplified in his work with—and support of—Jewish Family Service.”
A longtime JFS supporter, Hyatt currently serves on the Executive Committee of the organization’s board of directors. Additionally, he has been active on the JFS Development Committee and co-chaired the JFS Executive Luncheon in 2016, which raised almost $1 million. He also currently serves as chair of the board of directors of Mental Health Colorado.
As chair of Brownstein’s Real Estate Department, Hyatt leads the firm’s premier real estate practice. He focuses on the acquisition, financing, leasing, development and disposition of various commercial real estate assets. His development work is especially notable, where he serves as lead counsel on numerous complex and high-profile real estate development projects throughout Colorado.
