Ali Metzl Named a Denver Business Journal 2022 40 Under 40 Honoree

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Ali Metzl—a shareholder in its Corporate Department and chair of diversity, equity and inclusion—has been recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of its 2022 40 Under 40 honorees. Every year, the Denver Business Journal honors 40 outstanding local professionals under age 40 for their business success and community contributions.

In her corporate practice, Metzl represents private equity funds, other financial sponsors and their portfolio companies as well as entrepreneurs and business owners in a wide variety of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, follow-on investments, internal reorganizations, divestitures, minority investments, equity financings, and general corporate governance and commercial advice. 

Additionally, Metzl focuses on advancing the recruiting, retention and promotion of women and diverse attorneys and policy professionals through her role as chair of diversity, equity and inclusion. She founded and co-chairs the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, which provides mentoring, networking and programming for female attorneys and policy professionals. She also founded and chairs the firm’s Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, the governing body for Brownstein’s diversity and inclusion efforts.

Her numerous community involvement efforts include serving as secretary for the Rocky Mountain Brown Club, the regional alumni organization for Brown University, her alma mater. She serves on Brown’s prestigious Women’s Leadership Council and mentors graduating students through the Women’s Launch Pad. She serves on the board of trustees of Denver Jewish Day School and on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Subcommittee of the Kent Denver School Board of Directors.

Metzl previously served on the advisory board for the Center for Women’s Health Research at the University of Colorado and on the board of directors for the Jewish Women’s Philanthropy Center and the International Breast Milk Project.

She was recognized at the Denver Business Journal’s awards ceremony on Thursday, March 3.
