Brownstein Adds Trent Morse, President Trump’s Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office
Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Trent Morse, President Trump’s recent deputy assistant to the president and deputy director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office, has joined the firm as a senior strategic advisor, while also opening his own shop, Morse Strategies LLC.
“We’re thrilled to have Trent joining us. As part of our new strategic alliance, Trent will provide strategic counsel as our clients navigate the current political environment. His deep knowledge of executive branch operations and experience across multiple federal agencies during Trump 45 and 47 make him a trusted government relations strategist. Given Trent’s deep roots in Florida, he’ll also strengthen our footprint and connectivity in the Sunshine State and our growing Tampa office,” said Will Moschella, co-chair of Brownstein’s government relations department.
Morse has extensive political and governmental experience, having served as deputy assistant to President Trump and deputy director of presidential personnel, where he worked closely with President Trump to vet more than 3,000 staffers for jobs in the administration.
President Trump’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles, recently described Morse in a Politico interview as “an important and integral part of the successes we’ve had.” When talking about decoding the Trump administration, Wiles said, “…nobody is better able to do that” than Morse.
Before joining the White House in January of 2025, Morse worked with the Trump-Vance transition team and led external and GOP outreach for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. His broad political experience includes multiple campaigns on the federal and state levels, national conventions, and external affairs in the Florida Governor’s Office.
Morse also worked at various agencies during the first Trump administration, including White House liaison at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; senior policy advisor to the deputy secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and as a special assistant at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Before coming to Washington, Morse held positions at the Florida Department of Transportation and a prominent transportation and infrastructure holding company, where he worked in corporate development.
Morse received his bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from Florida State University.
