Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Paulsen has been named chair of the firm’s Corporate & Business Department, returning to the leadership role she previously held. Paulsen recently completed three terms on the firm’s Executive Committee, serving from 2016 to 2025. Her extensive firm leadership experience and strategic vision will help drive the department forward.
“Elizabeth is no stranger to firm leadership, having previously served as Corporate Department chair and recently completing her term on the Executive Committee, where she helped shape the firm’s strategic direction,” said Rich Benenson, Brownstein’s managing partner. “She knows this department and is well-positioned to lead the group’s continued success.”
In addition to her firm leadership role, Paulsen has a robust corporate legal practice where she concentrates on partnerships, joint ventures and transactions that require multiple integrated contractual arrangements in order to achieve her clients’ goals. She is recognized as a top sports betting and online gaming attorney and represents the major players in the industry, advising U.S. brick-and-mortar casinos, foreign online gaming platforms and sports teams and leagues on the various ways to expand into the sports betting industry and gain access to the emerging online gaming market.
Passionate about professional development, she plays an active role in the cultivation of the firm’s future leadership. Paulsen also serves on the board of Mental Health Colorado.
