Brownstein’s Amy Steinfeld Honored with Pacific Coast Business Times 2020 Most Influential Award

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Amy Steinfeld—shareholder, office managing partner for the firm’s Santa Barbara office and co-chair of the Cannabis and Industrial Hemp industry group—was recognized as one of the Pacific Coast Business Times’ 2020 Most Influential People in the Region. This is a new special report conducted by Pacific Coast Business Times that represents the staff’s picks for the thought leaders and top influencers in the region.

Steinfeld has over a decade of experience in the permitting and development of controversial projects statewide. She advises water districts, regulated utilities, cities, developers and agricultural interests in all water law matters. She is skilled in all facets of land development, from preparation of environmental documents to defense and settlement of complicated multiparty CEQA lawsuits, and ultimately to implementation of fully permitted projects. This land use and environmental law foundation sets her apart as a top influential attorney for cannabis and industrial hemp farmers. She regularly represents property owners and agricultural interests in the rapidly growing and heavily regulated legal cannabis and hemp industry. She is also passionate about educating the public about the sustainable growing practices of local hemp and cannabis farmers and the benefits to our local economy.

In 2017, Steinfeld co-founded the California H20 Women Conference to celebrate women throughout the water industry and most senior positions of government and business. In its third iteration, it is the only event of its kind nationwide where women leaders share their unique perspectives on pressing topics facing the water industry. As president of the Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition Board of Directors, which promotes bicycling for safe transportation and recreation, she is deeply committed to connecting Central Coast communities with bike infrastructure, making Santa Barbara County a worldwide biking destination.
