Emily Garnett cautioned general counsel that on top of the Scope 1 and Scope 2 requirements, they have a laundry list of other matters to think about. Those issues include whether the company has plans for transition out of business sectors that will be affected by the environment; whether the company has internal carbon pricing; and whether and how the board and C-suite are informed on environmental-related tasks, goals, objectives, and risks.
